International Association of Rural Health & Medicine (IARM) 2023 Cogress was held in Belgrade, Serbia from September 14 – 16, 2023. Venue of the Conference was Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. ICOH Scientific Committee on Rural Health, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts-Board for Rural Issues, University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine and Serbian Institute of Occupational Health were the co-organizers.

The theme of the Congress was – Health of agricultural population and workers in the rapidly changing social and natural environment.

The following topics were discussed in the  Congress: Experience of best practice for increasing the health coverage of rural populations and workers, refugees, and expatriates: an emerging problem, specific problems of women in rural areas, new and emerging risks and diseases in the agriculture sector and impact of Covid 19 pandemic in rural areas.

Prof. Claudio Colosio, President of IARM and former President of SCRH was the President of the Congress scientific committee. Prof. Petar Bulat, former Secretary of SCRH was the President of the organizing committee and Dr. Stefan Mandec Rajcevic, Secretary of SCRH was the President of local organizing committee. Prof. Gert van der Laan, Dr. Sashikala Chandrasekar and Dr. Erik Joers from SCRH were part of the Congress scientific and organizing committees.

Prof. Colosio, Prof. Bulat, Dr. Rajcevic and Prof. Angelo Moretto were the speakers from SCRH. Dr. Shengli Niu from ILO was among the speakers from international organizations.
