20th congress of the International Association of Rural Health and Medicine (IARM) was held from 10th to 12th October 2018 in Tokyo.

The Theme of the Conference was – Challenges to community-based rural medicine in aging societies with declining productive populations.

Prof. Claudio Colosio participated in the Congress and presented a paper on Workforce ageing: an emerging challenge for Occupational Health and Safety and the Diagnosis and Prevention of Occupational Diseases.

Prof. Claudio Colosio was elected as the President Elect for 2018 – 2021.
