EPICOH 2023, was organized at Mumbai, India during March 14 – 17, 2023. The 29th symposium on epidemiology in occupational health was organized along with 71st annual conference of the Indian Association of Occupational Health, Mumbai branch. Theme of this hybrid conference was – “Occupational health epidemiology: need for concerted action”. Preconference workshop was conducted at Tata Memorial Centre and the main conference venue was at World Trade Centre, Mumbai.
This superb Conference was a scientific treat with interesting plenary sessions, panel discussions, scientific sessions, and symposia on the Epidemiology of Occupational Health. There were many oral and poster scientific paper presentations on various subjects. More than 300 delegates from 39 countries attended this conference.
Joint Symposia were conducted with ICOH SC Rural Health: Agriculture, Pesticides & Organic Dusts, SC Occupational Health and Development, SC Mining Occupational Safety & Health, SC on Occupational Health in the Chemical Industry and SC on Musculoskeletal Disorders.
Scientific Committee on Rural Health session was on – the risk assessment and the health effects of pesticides and organic dust in agricultural workers and the rural population. Prof. Claudio Colosio, Prof. Pierluigi Cocco, Prof. Vivi Schlunssen and Dr. Sashikala Chandrasekar were the speakers from SC Rural Health.
